Editorial Policy

Our Mission

ZZCFitness publishes free, practical fitness guides built on established exercise science. Our goal is to make honest, actionable training and nutrition information available to everyone - without paywalls, hype, or gimmicks. We write for real people who want to train smarter, avoid injury, and see genuine results.

How We Create Content

Every article follows a structured process. We start from a specific user question - usually a search intent like "how to do X" or "what muscles does X work" - and build the article to answer it directly. Movement instruction is based on established biomechanics and the practical conventions used by certified strength coaches. Where a claim depends on research, we cite the source rather than asserting it.

Articles are organized so the answer comes first, followed by step-by-step form cues, the muscles involved, common mistakes, and programming guidance. This structure is designed to be useful to both beginners and experienced trainees.

Sourcing & Citations

When an article references research or expert guidance, we link to the original source. Our citations point to peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and position stands from recognized authorities such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Sources are listed in a References & Sources section at the end of each article, and the same source URLs are included in the page's structured data so they can be verified. We do not fabricate citations, study results, or DOIs. If we cannot verify a source, we do not cite it.

Review & Expertise

ZZCFitness is written and maintained by our editorial team of fitness writers and enthusiasts with years of practical training experience. We are not licensed medical professionals, registered dietitians, or physical therapists, and we do not claim to be.

Our content is educational and informational, not medical advice. It is not a substitute for personalized guidance from a qualified healthcare provider. When content touches on injury, pain, or a medical condition, we direct readers to consult an appropriate professional. We are working toward adding credentialed expert review for health-sensitive articles, and any reviewed article will name the reviewer and their qualifications.

Updates & Freshness

Fitness science evolves, and so does our content. Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when new evidence emerges, when guidance changes, or when we find a clearer way to explain something. Each article page displays a datePublished and dateModified, and the modified date reflects the last substantive update - not trivial edits. We do not artificially refresh dates to manipulate freshness signals.

Transparency & Disclosure

ZZCFitness is supported by advertising. Ads are served through clearly marked ad placements and are never disguised as editorial content. Editorial coverage is never sold, and no advertiser influences our exercise instruction, recommendations, or source citations.

If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, they will be explicitly labeled as such. We do not accept payment to alter or remove reviews or recommendations.

Reporting Errors

If you find an error in our content - a factual mistake, a broken citation, or outdated guidance - please tell us. Contact us through our contact page, and include the article URL and a description of the issue. We review all reports and correct verified errors promptly, updating the article's modified date when we do.
